Rust Inhibitors

Barium Petroleum Sulfonate

Oil-soluble barium petroleum sulfonate (CAS 61790-48-5), the strongest sulfonate rust-preventive cation, with demulsibility and a passing ASTM D1748 humidity-cabinet result — for rust-preventive oils, slushing/sealing oils, greases and dual-purpose lubricant + anti-rust formulations.

Benzotriazole (BTA)

High-purity benzotriazole (CAS 95-14-7, 99.9% GC) — the standard copper and yellow-metal deactivator, forming a passivating Cu–BTA film. For rust-preventive oils, metalworking fluids, antifreeze and water-cooling systems; soluble in oil, water and alcohol.

Benzotriazole Derivative (Oil-Soluble Metal Deactivator)

Oil-soluble benzotriazole derivative metal deactivator (CCI51) — an ash-free, liquid copper corrosion inhibitor (an aminomethyl/Mannich tolyltriazole derivative) that passivates copper and yellow metals and is synergistic with phenolic antioxidants such as BHT; for many lubricant types. Avoid direct contact with ZDDP.

Neutral, barium-free synthetic calcium dinonylnaphthalenesulfonate (CAS 57855-77-3) — Ca 2.1%, inert and additive-compatible with demulsibility and an ASTM D1748 humidity-cabinet pass. The environmentally friendly, heavy-metal-free rust inhibitor for modern rust-preventive, gear, hydraulic and metalworking oils.

Ready-to-blend liquid olefin copolymer (OCP) viscosity modifier — a polymer-in-oil concentrate that builds high-temperature viscosity and viscosity index, supplied in four shear-stability grades (SSI 20–45) from general multigrade thickening to severe-duty, stay-in-grade performance.

Low-Molecular-Weight Polyisobutylene (PIB)

Low-molecular-weight polyisobutylene (PIB) — a non-toxic, non-drying liquid polymer used as a tackifier and viscosity / thickening additive, supplied in five molecular-weight grades (Mn 680–3500) from light VI and 2-stroke grades to high-tack anti-fling and adhesive grades.

Nitrogen-Containing Borate Ester

An ashless borate ester lubricant additive that protects against wear, carries load and reduces friction without contributing sulfur, phosphorus, halogen or metal — with the nitrogen that stops a borate ester hydrolysing.

Overbased synthetic barium dinonylnaphthalenesulfonate (CAS 25619-56-1) — Ba 11.0%, TBN 45 — a low-treat rust inhibitor whose colloidal barium-carbonate reserve also neutralises acidic corrosion by-products. For rust-preventive, mill and slushing oils; use neutral B1SA in EP systems.

Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) Silicone Defoamer

Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) silicone defoamer (G1000) — a very-low-surface-tension silicone fluid that rapidly knocks down surface foam at ppm dosing in lubricant, industrial and process oils; supplied in viscosity grades from 20 to 1000 mm²/s.

Tackiness & Adhesive Additives

Polyisobutylene (PIB) Tackifier

Low-molecular-weight polyisobutylene (PIB) tackifier — the non-toxic "stick-on-metal" adhesion additive that keeps open-gear, chain and wire-rope lubricants clinging under load and resists fling-off, in five molecular-weight grades (Mn 680–3500) from light tack to maximum anti-fling.

Petroleum (natural) sodium sulfonate rust inhibitor and emulsifier for soluble and semi-synthetic metalworking fluids, supplied in four grades (N50E / N50 / N50S / N65) spanning emulsification to maximum rust prevention, plus a higher-purity N65 grade at 65.5% sodium sulfonate for applications wanting a more concentrated actives content.

Sulfurized Isobutylene

High-activity sulfurized isobutylene (CAS 68511-50-2) — 45% sulfur, chlorine-free, made by a high-pressure synthesis process for higher extreme-pressure and wear performance. A primary EP additive for automotive and industrial gear oils; P_D weld load 650 (ASTM D2596, 3%).

Sulfurized Olefin

High-active-sulfur sulfurized olefin — 38.5% total sulfur (38% active), low-odor and light-coloured, used as a sulfur-carrier EP additive in water- and oil-based metalworking fluids and gear oils; weld point 320 kg (ASTM D2783).

Sulfurized Triglyceride

A chlorine-free, mainly inactive sulfurized lard oil (CAS 61790-49-6) — a high-viscosity (650 mm²/s) sulfurized triglyceride EP and lubricity additive, yellow-metal friendly (copper 1a), for metalworking fluids, greases and slideway oils.

Thiadiazole Derivative (Oil-Soluble Metal Deactivator)

Oil-soluble thiadiazole (DMTD) derivative metal deactivator (CCI61) — an ash-free copper corrosion inhibitor that passivates copper and other yellow metals and suppresses corrosion by reactive sulfur at very low treat (copper-strip 1A), with good oxidation resistance, for engine, industrial, grease and metalworking oils.
